Introducing K'ept Health

I get it. I am a patient, too.

I know what it is like to spend hours searching for a dermatologist on what seems like an endless website page of names with tiny pictures and brief overviews. Add in the process of finding an esthetician and it is an overwhelming experience.

I’ve experienced the highs and the lows the healthcare system has to offer. I’ve been lost and without a clue where to turn. From these experiences, I, along with a great and highly experienced team started K'ept Health.

We started K'pet Health because we want you to never have to question the type of care you receive from a dermatologist or esthetician. We want to empower you to take control of you skin health, to advocate for your overall health and wellness with your skin health being the perfect catalyst.

Why K’ept Health, Why Now

Unfortunately, our healthcare system does not provide the same level of care to everyone. Yet, you do not have to be uninsured to experience the heath gaps that exist within the system.

Today, only a small fraction of images used to train dermatologists show skin conditions on skin of color, almost half of dermatologists say they are ill-equipped to treat skin of color, and another half say they are not equipped to provide holistic care. Likewise, cosmetic nurse practitioners and estheticians with the same hurdles report the same startling numbers.

Skincare Is Skin Health

Our skin is the largest organ and its appearance and condition is often the direct result of what is taking place internally. This is why for the last year and a half, our team has designed a telemedicine concept with over 2,000 women, a 360 Approach to Care, and our founding principles rooted in education, solution driven products, and advocating for affordable, accessible care.

We believe providing holistic, culturally competent care to all women shouldn’t have to be a question of "Will I"?

K'ept Health Is For You?

We see a world in which women like you have a complete care team who knows you are not just your skin condition or medical condition. A world where you can trust that your practitioner is experienced in treating various skin tones and/or skin moving through various stages of life. A world where you don't have to stop living to care for your skin or your health.

For some it's a lofty goal, but for us it's a goal worth devoting ourselves to entirely because if you, we, need this type of care then it should exist.

If you want to join a community working to change healthcare, send us a note. We can’t wait to hear from you.

Stay Kept,

Sheena Franklin, Founder of K’ept Health
